3 rd Annual Animal Liberation Theory and Action Conference

Saturday, April 22, 2005
Syracuse University
Syracuse, NY, USA

This conference is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend

The Animal Liberation Theory and Action Conference is an international interdisciplinary conference, which gathers activists and academics to discuss a broad view of social, economical, and political issues concerning animal liberation.

This conference complements the efforts of the Animal Liberation Philosophy and Policy Journal, which is offering to publish papers presented. Much like the journal, the conference was designed to build up the common activist's knowledge of animal liberation, while at the same time appealing to academic specialists to address the important topic of animal liberation.

It is important for activists and academics to come together to learn from each other and assist in the goal of animal liberation. Please join us to discuss an array of topics centered on animal liberation including, but not limited to: deep ecology; feminisms; social justice; classism; racism; PATRIOT Act; environmental ethics; Eco-Terrorism laws; rights vs. liberation; humane education; post-modernism; utilitarianism; religion/spirituality; and indigenous rights.
