Animal Liberation Front Associate Pleads No Contest to Stalking, Conspiracy Charges

An accused domestic terrorist today pleaded no contest to three counts of stalking and three of conspiracy to commit stalking in connection to acts against UCLA researchers and employees of POM Wonderful Juice Company, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced. Kevin Rich Olliff, 22, an associate of the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) faces a three-year state prison sentence under terms of a negotiated settlement.

Olliff and 62-year-old co-defendent Linda Faith Greene, who pleaded guilty to similar charges yesterday, were indicted last year by the L.A. County Grand Jury in connection with actions taken in 2006 and 2008.

"I admit that I am an animal rights activist who engaged in demonstrations targeting specific professors, researchers and business people at the personal residences and at their workplace, including the UCLA campus," Olliff's plea agreement read.

Greene admitted to being the press officer for the North American Animal Liberation Press Office (NAALPO) where she posted "specific and personal identifying information about persons engaged in lawful scientific research involving animals" to its website. She will be paroled for five years and may not join an animal rights organization or stay away from victims' homes and workplaces as well as from all University of California properties.

Both will be sentenced in upcoming months.
