Animal
Testing Firm to be Targeted on Long Island; Animal
Liberation Front Issues Threat to Partygoers
LONG ISLAND, NY
In an anonymous communiqué, the underground Animal
Liberation Front (ALF) issued a threat aimed at partygoers
to a holiday party for Forest Laboratories Friday night,
December 10.
Animal Defense League - Long Island (ADL-LI), a grassroots
group that has long targeted companies such as Forest
Labs that do business with the infamous animal testing
company Huntingdon Life Sciences, has planned a legal
demonstration at the Huntington Towne House (124 East
Jericho Turnpike, Huntington, Long Island) on Friday
night at 6pm, where the holiday party is to be held.
A spokesperson for ADL-LI says We are demanding
that Forest Labs sever their customer contract with
Huntingdon Life Sciences and are prepared to target
all supporters of Forest and their endeavors until that
contract is discontinued. As long as they profit off
HLS animal cruelty and the negligent deaths of users
of their anti-depressants we will remain in their way.
Received earlier in the week at the Animal Liberation
Press Office, the communiqué states:
"Cancel the 12/10 Forest Labs party or syrup
of ipecac and diarrhea inducing agents will appear in
your catering provisions begining Friday afternoon.
We will target all town house events this weekend. All
additives will be non-lethal and the symptoms non-permanent.
however: will be very disruptive to town house funtions.
Cancel the Forest Labs party. *The A.L.F."
The ALF and its sister organization, the Earth Liberation
front, are considered to be among the most dangerous
terrorist groups in the U.S. by the federal government,
although no one has ever been hurt in their raids.
The ALF has been credited with freeing thousands of
animals from fur farms, research laboratories and factory
farms over more than 20 years. They have also sabotaged
businesses that torture and kill animals for profit
and fun. |
